Section 230 needs tweaking. Any platform that alters or removes postings that are 1st amendment compliant should be deemed a publisher. Adding context or community notes is not an alteration.

People who work for me are building what I am telling them and they are getting paid by our clients. They can definotely choose to do what I chose back in 2009, stop getting paid and work for themselves, all they have to do for that would be the same thing I did, save for a few years prior to that and live on savings while building their own thing. Why should anyone else pay them to do what they want without their ideas being actually useful to anyone? That is what governments do now, they tax everyone to subsidise government employees salaries and pensions. I would rather pay for services that I choose myself than have money taken from me by a force that I never chose myself (not once) and have that force spend my money on things I am opposed.

Don't look at me, I'm an instrument engineer. I was just there for the presentation and don't know how it works under the hood. I can tell you in 2015 I was the end user of software that was a predictive model trained on 15 years of process and maintenance data from some 25 gas compressors that ultimately created a model that turned out to predict future compressor failure based on changes in the operating envelope (upsets, pressure spikes etc, that seem insignificant at the time), and was able to do this prediction months before our vibration monitoring systems noticed any sign of degradation.

All I know about this is I've been hearing the term AI in the software we use for decades, long before Sam Altman claimed he was going to put half the world out of a job.
