Or pivot to management. That's what I did as a successful network engineer. It has been 3yrs, and a lot of growth, training and learning new social skills and techniques to successfully manage highly intelligent people across different generations and from new to multi decades of service. Not to mentioning managing a high visibility and important portfolio for the organization. Even if management isn't for you, people staying in the technical field need to be flexible, and willing to be life long learners and good at information sharing with colleagues.

I agree! Assuming the data centers have all the required infrastructure to go live (power, fiber, water, etc...) my hunch is that they will get used. I think a lot of people will be tempted to draw parallels to the Chinese ghost cities, but it might not quite be the same situation.

The phones are sim unlocked, but I remember having to wait a month after registering my phone on their app to unlock the bootloader. It was a pia and I couldn't use the phone since I didn't trust a Chinese rom. They do this in the hopes that you will keep using their ROM after 30days and so they can collect all your info.

If you read the Hindenburg Research piece on smci, it's pretty bad. Combine it with their auditor resigning, you can explain the share price crashing. It sounds like smci will receive their extension for filing their late financials. As a speculator, you need to decide how bad it is and how much you're willing to gamble and lose. IMO it sounds like leadership and the board need to be replaced if any of the Hindenburg accusations are true. (at the very least). Supermicro seems to be a legit company selling legit products. But it sounds like management and the board are running things like it's in China or Russia.
