Well, there are other mechanisms that can be used to "save lives"....many are in action and have been for decades. Many private ones. The problem with USAID was that it was funding TONS of money to useless causes, and many funneling for political purposes which should not happen.

And also....what makes the US the world's brothers' keeper? I mean, it's nice, its a good thing to do, BUT we could be better served making sure all US citizens are taken care of first before we go outside our borders for the most part.

I can only really think of one...that medical guy up north, an activist. He was pushing and getting physical with ICE...he was carrying concealed (legally)...and when one officer was pulling the guys weapon from it, a SIG I believe, it appears that pistol fired and all officers reacted thinking the medical guy had fired and they shot him.

That sig model has been known to have "spontaneous" fires....

I think that many mistakes were made here on part of ICE, but also, if the guy had not been getting physical with officers and even though legally carrying, if he had NOT been carrying to an event like this (common sense) he'd still be alive, but there should be trial on this.

Other than that, most of the others seem pretty justified to me...trying t run over officers in cars, either on purpose or while trying to escape, etc.

Nope...and even if some collateral damage....USAID was throwing money out to many organizations that were detrimental to our country. They also seemed to be funding through hoops...a lot of the leftists propaganda and orgs that we just do not need. That was a slush fund that needed to be stopped.

From what I've heard the EU regulations also go a long way to preventing (at least eventually) the ability of private individuals from setting up their own hardware and running their own models and agents from home or private business, keeping their own data and not sharing data with the frontier companies.

From what I hear this is the path of regulation making it far to expensive and legally regulated for any individual to run their own hardware and open source models and agents.

I think they are also thinking ahead and want to keep individuals in the general public from running their own, independent off cloud private models and agents, where the individual is the one in control, not paying the frontier companies and keeping their data to themselves.

So nice to see you are open to new ideas, and conversations....

I mean, it's not really working great these days...so, maybe we start to think outside the box just a bit....for something that might work better.
