You probably wouldn't be able to give them away. The shipping cost to anyone likely to be interested - even a "Macintosh museum", if there were such a thing - would be prohibitive. I faced the same problem when I subscribed to Science (and Nature, in alternating years). I really didn't want the dead-tree editions which waited for me on the doorstep when I got home from work, to go to waste, but the only people collecting them to send to, say, third world libraries wanted delivery only at their base 500 miles away. It was a toss up between the cost of posting them or loading the car and driving them - and in either case nearly the same as the original subscription.

Calling the Tangerine Shitgibbon an "Orange Julius Cæsar" is pretty insulting to Ol' JC. He may have been a genocidal tyrannical dictator (he was even ELECTED as dictator by the Senate! ; the genocide was mostly in Transalpine Gaul ; he was assassinated, allegedly, for behaving like a tyrannos - a king), but he repeatedly led his troops into battle without excusing himself on the grounds of bony spurious spurs. And he could spin a good line in his native tongue ("Veni! Vidi! Victi!" - "I came, I saw, I conquered!" Works in any language!).

He even made a decent attempt at proving the the pen is mightier than the sword by trying to stab back at his assassins with his pen ("stylus" - probably rather more substantial then the Shitgibbon's Sharpie). "Infamy! Infamy, They've all got it in for him!"

At least Shitgibbons don't exist, to be insulted by the association.

When you elect a clown for king, the palace becomes a circus.'

Now, that has definite Julian family overtones - but the Claudian branch. If you believe Graves' weaving of the Aesop fable about the frogs and King Stork into the later "autobiography" of Clavdivs.

Any more progress in America on unmasking the fake assassination attempt? If it was a Trump organisation effort, you can safely expect the cover up to have been done incompetently. Or did they provoke a wingnut (well, he had a gun ; therefore "wingnut") and "accidentally" leave a roof open to him? Either case, there will be a Signal group somewhere.

Or how about the body of water between england and france... The english call it "the english channel", whereas the french simply call it "la manche" which translates to "the channel".

"La manche" translates from (French) French to (English) English as "the sleeve". Which is reasonably descriptive at my level of sewing. Uneven width, angular corners all along the length. Bitterly cold. Gales howl through it. Definitely a sleeve.

Were you using EN_US, or translating to FR_CA? In general, it doesn't matter much, but they're not the same languages, which is why they have different names.

The periodic table of elements tells us that lithium is vital for batteries with high energy per mass and volume. There is no alternative to lithium.

How to say you don't understand the periodic table without actually admitting it.

Essentially similar chemistry for batteries can be achieved using sodium in place of lithium. The batteries don't have such a high stored-energy per unit volume metric as the lithium versions, but outside transportation systems that's not such a big deal. Building a lithium-based grid-scale battery for balancing renewables electrical supply with demand is showing how poor your understanding is. While also unnecessarily increasing the costs, and making the lithium less available for uses where it's energy density is important.

Periodic table : the properties of elements recur at semi-regular, predictable intervals when the elements are organised in sequence of protons/nucleus count. In consequence, elements with very similar properties can be found in vertical columns in most representations of the table.

Trump has been floating the idea of third terms, and the consequent outright suspension of the US Constitution for 3+ years now. You've had your Reichstag moment ; you've elected the dictator. You've just got the wait until your second (arguably third, or even fourth) revolution now. Then you might get another election.
