Journal smittyoneeach's Journal: Mike Lindell's Souix Falls Symposium 7

The dynamic is interesting. The mainstream conservative blogs didn't pick up or magnify much of the coverage. Dr. Douglas Frank apparently blew everyone's doors off with an explanation of what went down. Google nukes Dr. Frank from orbit, whereas DuckDuckGo only starts off with a derogatory link.
I took in about half of his talk. This is the sort of thing that should be put into a court of law and hashed out thoroughly, and I hope that the Dominion lawsuit against pretty much every right-wing detractor gets people and evidence under oath, in front of a jury, and follows the facts to conclusion.
I also heard from someone who might have some insight that at least one of the guests at the symposium is an alleged scam artist and that Lindell got (at least partially) played.
So make of all that what you will. Rep. Dan Crenshaw isn't buying into it at all, I guess.

  • The gullibility one needs to think that anything substantial was said is almost beyond imagination.

They said a lot, all of it nothing but sound and fury and what was left was a pack of lies.

Anyone who would buy any of this would be eager to buy swamp land in Florida.

    • Have you checked real estate prices in Florida lately?

(I actually have some land adjacent to a swamp in Florida, and it's not all that bad. Lots of wildlife, which I happen to enjoy. And the signs informing people that the swamp and lake are inhabited by alligators tend to ward off unwanted visitors.)

Back on topic: Lindell has a bunch of public voter records which he's displaying in hexadecimal to obtain the desired let's-wow-the-ignorant factor. IOW, a big nothingburger with a side order of smoke and mirro

  • My favorite quote from the symposium was, "You guys need to start reporting this stuff and stop fact-checking it!"

  • Google did eventually lead me to a video of your new friend Douglas Frank giving a talk to support the claims of your friend Mr. Lindell (hosted on a domain owned by Lindell, no less). I'm traveling for work right now and really don't want to put my work hardware in jeopardy viewing the video (nor would I want my work hardware associated with that type of material).

That said, if Mr. Frank is the genius scientist he and his friends want us to see him to be, I would expect there would be plenty of writte
    • Videos are terrible substitutes for written words.

They want to steal your time. And they really don't want any written record of this insanity to be used against them. A video is kinda like disappearing ink, not too many people keep archives for the obvious reasons of space and time.

Well, he finally listened to you in the subsequent journal (my frequent requests always went unheard). Let's go take a peek...
