China cope just fine without Google.
... And it's f'ing annoying!
No, the Trump administration just rolled back CAFE standards assuring the automakers will continue to be able to sell large, expensive SUVs and trucks into the future. Why Trump commented on kei cars is anyone's guess. Regardless people in the US will mostly reject them should any auto manufacture attempt to push them on the public.
"a single pair of healthcare system"?
Here comes a new addition to their warddrobes.
Your premise is that the CCP (and it's elite) are the bad guys...sorry, but it is the USA elites that are the bad guys, not China, its CCP(sic), or indeed its elite.
You haven't realised that they're not the bad guy here, right? It's actually the USA who is the bad guy. It's pretty clear to much of the rest of the world.
The fourtwo is a tiny European city car. I know people who've had them and the fuel economy they got with them was not all that much better than my Jetta or even an old Chevy Cruze Eco. A turbo four banger sedan with 8speed transmission can already beat 50 mpg highway depending on how you drive it. In fact, on the highway the fourtwo kinda sucks for raw mpg. For city driving you really want a hybrid for anything over 40 mpg, and even then it's a struggle.
All that being said, good luck getting buyers who like SUVs into a fourtwo or even a small/midsize sedan.
Or maybe it's because crude oil prices are down.

It's a buyer's market.
The Metro wouldn't be safe by modern standards. Of course an old Honda Civic hatchback wouldn't be, either.
I've seen some vehicles with OEM-recommended 0w20 experiencing this issue. Dropping in some "compliant" 5w30 hurt fuel economy a touch but fixed the issue immediately.
BYD and free markets don't mix.
Do you automatically assume people support Trump when they criticize China? Perhaps Taiwan, Vietnam, the Phillipines, etc would enjoy having a word with you.
Also a 40% stake in a business often makes the CCP the largest single shareholder in a corporation. Other investors wouldn't dare overrule the party when voting on any issue where the CCP chooses to take a stance. All it takes is one board member to monitor the corporation and its executives. That serves as a reminder that the corporation must serve party interest above all else.
Soft power doesn't require complete control.
China seizes control of enterprise at a phenomenally higher rate than any Western power. There is no equivalence.
