Microsoft created the Anti-Virus market through their bad design choices, now they are putting forth an "optional" effort to help alleviate the problem. I'd personally rather see them solve the bigger underlying issue that brought us all of the malware and viruses in the first place, which would really put the AV companies out of business. Would they cry foul then too?

Which browser you use for normal browsing should be irrelevant in regards to site development, as you should be testing across all major browsers.

Surf the web with whatever browser you prefer. To the end-user, everything should come out as the developers expected across the major browsers. I know you're likely not going to visit /. on all the major browsers, but I sure hope the /. devs do.

Electrically Conductive Cement 159

zero_offset writes "The Tokyo Institute of Technology has announced a process for creating an inexpensive, nearly transparent, electrically conductive alumina cement. The conductivity is comparable to metal, and the transparency should be adequate for use in display panels. The process relies upon commonplace and inexpensive metals compared to the rare metals such as iridium currently used in display panels."

Erm, I just got my Nokia 6220 which is an older model to his phone, and the camera on it sucks ass, but I could easily make out my keyboard letters at less than his recomended 0.6cm And even when it was really faint you could track the direction of movement quite easily, wether a java program could do that though is up for debate.
