I agree with you.... in general, I think most of my problems are caused by inequality of wealth, the belief that a small minority of Billionaires control and direct society is bad for society, and the middle class. It is not because of a random trans person wins in a swimming race, the problem is wealth inequality. I am apparently in the minority in my belief.

It is untrue that everything that people does will "kill us". It is true that we as thinking beings should find a sustainable path. Wind and Solar is cheaper than Oil and Coal, and is a sustainable path. Why be stupid? Why deny that CO2 can be absorbed by water? I took a Chemistry class in College, did you?

Things seem simpler to me, MAGAs think that solar and wind is bad, oil is good. We are in an age where Wind and Solar are cheaper than oil and coal. I think that MAGAs are not only stupid, but almost evil. Removing CO2 from the air is a pipe dream that I think about, but the simpler thing is to put up windmills, and lay out solar panels.

Let Intel fail. Capitalism should be about people who have smart ideas being successful, and lazy ones failing. Intel is now one of the failing ones. I do remember in the 90's where Intel was supreme, and "nobody could ever catch up to them". Let them fail, especially since the US Government owns a 10% stake in them. I thought thought that with Capitalism, the US Government should not pick winners or losers, what happened to that philosophy?

I understand that it takes a re-thinking of the values that our society holds dear. I just got back from the store. While I was walking I was wondering why people would want to sit for 2 to 4 hours in a car a day? One random thought I had is that people inherently want power, and driving a car makes them feel powerful. Many turn into "internet trolls" too, because they are anons, they honk their horns, and yell profanities at strangers. It seems like everything is a choice. We could choose to plan our cities so that housing, jobs, and grocery stores are in walking distance. We could also choose to have little trains like in the amusement parks running through our streets. When I walk around, I think we made some bad choices as a society.

There is a way to eliminate fossil fuels. One simple way is to re-define what the economy is, to re-define GDP. We don't have to live in a hyper energy economy, spending 2-5 hours a day in a car, it is our choice. Walking to work, walking to the supermarket, and walking home is not a bad lifestyle. I live it.

In 2016, I thought it was just temporary insanity. What the MAGAs called the "deepstate", you know the scientists, the lawyers, the economists, the judges, seemed to have contained the megalomaniac. Now he seems to have fired all of them, and replaced them with drones who repeat: "you are such a good leader" to him over and over again. He seems totally "unhinged" right now.
