Journal Journal: If COVID-19 began as mild as Omicron 2

Would there have been a case for the lockdowns and other restrictions on freedoms — including mask-mandates — if the original COVID-19 was as insignificant as Omicron?

The obvious answer is: "No"...

To me this means, any such restrictions must be lifted immediately, lest they become as permanent as rent control in New York City...

It has been a while since Trump's win, has there been any evidence of the foretold uptick of hate-crimes by his supporters? And I mean, actual crimes — not just speech — that are real, reported to police and investigated?..

Is not his death — so symbolic of the world-wide decline of Leftism — a great opportunity for TV-anchors and other journalists to demand, the various politicians (from Obama all the way down to "progressive" mayors) and other celebrities (such as Mr. Kaepernick) disavow the late tyrant and the oppressive regime he created?

And, when they do it, grill them over not being sufficiently enthusiastic about it and waiting too long?

Suppose for a second, a scientific breakthrough comes up with a pill or a procedure, which prevents humans from ever falling sick. Will we be seriously listening to people arguing, it should not be made available, because its introduction would put doctors and hospitals out of business?
