Everything takes a long time to plan. Your F-22 has a range of less than 2000km. So you're going to need a delivery system. The drone delivery system is a nondescript truck driven around the country by some random nobody. The F-22 delivery system is a shiny aircraft carrier battle group stuck in the nearest practicable sea lane. How long did it take to plan for the carrier deployment or maybe to send a squadron of planes to the nearest friendly airbase?

Stealth comes in many forms. Radar stealth vs drone hidden in a truck stealth. You could even ship individual parts and let local resistance fighters assemble them across the road from the target, if you really wanted to. Once they're that close, they don't need stealth any more.

The stealth fighters are beautiful technology for sure that is hard to replace, with a long lead time, high unit cost and expensive support infrastructure. Unmanned vehicles are cheap, can be mass produced quickly, and are highly expendable. I think we're seeing evolution in action:)

You're behind the times. There's 2 years of real footage out there showing how modern drone warfare beats the crap out of legacy air strike superiority. This is the present.

Why put money into 1 stealth fighter with only a handful of munitions when you can have 1000 cheap attack drones that do a more thorough and precise job? And the pilot remains safe in a bunker sipping mountain dew.

He made a show of stepping away from politics but I don't think anyone is so dumb that they believe he's really doing it

He left the WH because he was hogging the limelight and Trump didn't like it. This is the Trump Show, not the Elon Show.

Elon already turned himself around to kiss ass, but Trump will not forget his lack of loyalty. This tells you two things, Elon is weak, and Trump will definitely try to punish him, because he only ever attacks weak opponents and friendlies.

Erm. How many trillions of dollars does it take to redo "Google" in your organization yourself, inhouse?

The argument about the value of AI is about if it is superhuman, because only superhuman capabilities justify the fuckload of investor money being thrown into this technology. There is a bubble currently and it will burst, and in the meantime the bubble is causing unnecessary destruction in the economy, by reorganising companies with proven expertise into generic service providers of dubious quality.
