He could have changed the merge window to work around his personal life events. How is this so hard to understand?
By the way, I can read fine. Nice ad hominem attack you had there.

Nope, not at all. Linus cribbed it from Andrew Tanenbaum's Minix.
Late submission
This is 100% Linus' fault for not scheduling his personal time around a merge window.
Professionals respect deadlines. Being submitted near the end of a merge window is perfectly correct and professional.
I know this is a duplicated article but I must stress that this kind of behavior is totally unprofessional.
First, if you're traveling, change the merge window to accommodate your schedule!!
Second, don't be a jerk!!
Microsoft Azure is running under Microsoft Hyper-V on Windows, so, most, yes, but all, no.
It's too bad. Many people, like me, who are professional software engineers, would contribute more if the environment weren't so toxic. It's a shame.
I took my ball and went home. I'm not sorry--they should be.
What kind of person does this except as a joke?

still connected to accounts that could be billed.
The old AOL by Phone, AOL Voicemail, and their VoIP service (all variants of home phone services) had tens of thousands of subscriptions like this for *YEARS* after AOL stopped selling them. Since the user interface in the AOL client was long discontinued, we had to manually write text files and scripts to feed the existing back-end systems in order to bill these people.
This always bothered me since Windows 11 came out.
Windows 10 was supposed to be infinitely upgradable, and it was.
But, then, someone in marketing convinced the committee to release Windows 11 and its strict modern hardware requirements, and sunset Windows 10. Talk about false advertising!!
The landfills are going to be chock-full of computers this fall.
All they need to do is remove the TPM requirement. Home users don't want or need Bitlocker.
And they demolished the entire AOL campus a couple years ago.

The Slashdot Sidebar uses RSS but it doesn't seem to be configurable anymore.
Slashdot is just waiting for RSS to die, I guess.
Don't let context ruin a good story!
Of course the inventor would say that. The opinions are still mixed and will probably never be fully resolved.

My Honda frequently emits a fast-beeping to indicate that the key fob is not communicating properly after the vehicle is shut off. Same thing if I close the trunk with the key fob next to it.
