Yeah, a bunch of us here on Slashdot moved much of the conversation to Twitter. Unfortunately, Trump seems to get a bunch of the bandwidth there too.
The designers of Google Maps must not ever ride the bus. When you get to your destination all you want to do is take care of business and return. Simply reverse your source and destination with one button press and you're on your way. That is unless you answer one of Googles questions which is done within the same instance of Google Maps totally obliterating your return trip. The question should be asked in another instance of an app. I'll never answer another stupid Google Map question ever again.

There're (or at least were, when I had it) several times as many titles available on DVD than on streaming.
Yeah, all the mainstream stuff is streamed, but the really weird, offbeat crazy shite is only on DVD. The mail thing is a hassle, but I saw such strange things that I may go back to it as the streaming isn't holding my interest so well anymore.

They're already undergoing censorship pains as the Feministas and their SJWs undertake to erase all opposing viewpoints. An arms race with the adblockers will stick a knife in their back when they need it most.

Totally understood. The trick is: you can tune your own signal/noise. Its very handy and I get essentially all my news via Twitter these days.

My own boss' policy is to run the old junk until it breaks down.
Neither of us have 64 bit computers.
Neither of us even have computers new enough to do useful virtualization (ie run WinXP ina box).
Neither of us have money to buy new computers.
I get yout point, I wouldn't want to be a part of that scene either, but for most (all?) of these athletes, this is their livelihood, their passion, their years-long focus. Putting myself in their shoes, to say I might get sick is probably not what I want to hear but I bet I'd still participate.
Some people pray for more than they are willing to work for.
