Journal johndiii's Journal: Sunrise 5
I got up fairly early this morning to work out. OK, 7am is only moderately early, but it's a Sunday. :-)
As I walked out of the breezeway where my apartment is located, I was greeted byt the most glorious sunrise that I have seen in quite some time. Perhaps ever. Salmon-pink clouds with golden edges, gold light streaming from the east, behind the trees.
I just stood and stared for several minutes, I think. What a way to start the day. Unfortunately, I did not have the presence of mind to walk back inside for my camera. On the positive side, it is captured in my mind's eye. :-)

Seen them... (Score:1)
I tried to capture this on film, but the image I caught really could not do the original any justice. Perhaps it's because I am (at best) an amateur photographer. <shrug>
You've seen it. Treasure the image in your mind's eye.

Happens a lot in the Bahamas (where I've been a couple of times) and at this point, unless the clouds are lit up, I usually just let them go and capture them mentally.
Enjoy the moment. The camera reminds, but cannot take you there.

Behold the glory. There is no finer display of color than that found at sunrise and sunset.
