"Imaginary Lover". There's a song about it.
I don't need or want a "smart TV". Instead, I have a PC connected to my TV and watch things from my TV.
I haven't watched OTA in over 40 years. It's pure garbage.
With Microsoft forcing updates on drivers and now apps, the stability of their OS will be compromised when things "don't work".
One more reason I'm done with Microsoft OS's. It's Linux and Chrome for me.
I'm going to speculate that a "incentivised" takeover of Intel by TSMC may be the motive.
Precisely. This idea was thought up by someone that has no understanding of the PC board product manufacturing process.
The only people it'll effect are hobbyists and people doing repair. If we stuff the boards offshore, this tariff is ineffectual.
Who's going to buy chips in the U.S. that isn't already stuffing them in boards in the U.S.?
Only people that need them for repair parts or hobbyists that are building projects.
It makes no sense.
Companies aren't going to buy ICs in the U.S. unless they are already loading them on PC boards in the U.S..
This might effect CPU chips for hobbyists or other ICs for hobbyists and a very small quantity of ICs used for repair purposes.
My company outsourced our PC board manufacturing decades ago and they're being bought in the foreign countries that are stuffing the PC boards.
Lipstick on a pig.
Cracks me up that Apple is moving manufacturing to India to circumvent the Chinese tariffs but Trump just put a 50% tariff on India for buying Russian oil.
He said he "needs an internet connection" so the phone isn't being connected to a POTS line.
Most car dealerships are NOT owned by manufacturers.
Large companies own a lot of car dealerships. Auto Nation and Lithia for example
Parts availability on new cars will be more difficult. Fewer aftermarket parts and one will be forced to buy them through dealers. Eventually the dealers will stop stocking the older parts and the owners will be screwed. Especially true with EVs.
Exactly. I take care of my cars and they take care of me. Both are over 30 years old and very reliable (Toyotas).
I have no desire to buy a new car. If they fail, I'll buy a used car that doesn't have this crap.
Another reason why I will not buy a new car.
Neither case is true. I didn't give permission and the medical groups are completely unrelated.
Be careful when a loop exits to the same place from side and bottom.
