Because EULAs are hot air. Software manufacturers will back down if you call their bluff if you look like you have the necessary lawyers to back it up. The last thing they want is a definitive legal ruling on EULAs, because it will establish a legal answer and likely won't be in their favor.

This is an education problem; you should know the difference between "watch" and "warning". "Watch" is just "things are looking a bit dicey, be alert for more info." "Warning" is "bad stuff is happening, take appropriate action."

Indie game companies make and sell new offline games every day.

And online games can have their server code released when the publisher's servers shut down. I'm not even going to insist that it be provided for free. Doesn't guarantee that the game will keep going but it at least makes it possible.

Well, of course not. The silver content of an actually silver coin would be worth dozens of times the coin's face value. The U.S. Mint will sell you five real silver quarters, minted for 2025. It'll only cost you $95. They are legal tender for 25 cents each, but people aren't going to be handing those out in change.
