You're right, it's more a reflection of the person getting bent out of shape based on the car someone is driving than the person driving the car. I've never quite understood the hate. If you don't like the shape, you don't need to shout it from the rooftops. It's OK for people to have different tastes.

It used to bother me but as long as they're not doing anything dangerous, I just feel sorry for them. It must be hard going through your daily life getting so upset for reasons you probably can't articulate properly.

I'm running FSD v13.2.9 and waiting for v14.x to be released, which is coming hopefully soon-ish. I'm not in major rush though for reasons you'll see below.

This is a personal anecdote, so take it for what you will. My current FSD actually self-drives today and has been for a very long time. It'll take me from my driveway to my work parking lot and back home without a single intervention. To get to work, I drive through country roads, city streets, and 2 highways. One of which is the busiest highway in North America.

I drive to work every day (M-F) and I can't stress this enough: I can't remember the last time I had to intervene . It's navigated road construction, the odd garbage truck stopping with no notice to pick up garbage bags on the side of the road (every Thursday morning around 6am), other drivers making last minute multi-lane changes to get to the highway exit, even drivers who brake check because they don't like the Cybertruck. I have a Model S too and have never been brake checked in that so *shrug*. It's deviated automatically from the regular route when it's detected there's standstill traffic somewhere along my route and then driven me home, again no intervention needed from me.

I've driven through fog, heavy rain, and unlit streets. My experience with FSD has been as flawless as I can expect. Of course, that is not going to be true for everyone, but when is anything every universally true when it comes to a persons experience of technology?

Can you honestly look at all those candidates and their accomplishments and claim this is DEI driven? All of them have impressive credentials, although I question why they felt compelled to add the "ultimate frisbee" thing in for the SpaceX person. He's a former LAUNCH DIRECTOR with solid creds. I'm almost positive he's done other great things other than ultimate frisbee.

Regardless, that's an impressive roster.

I run a very small business as a side hobby designing and making 3D printed parts and stuff. I am exclusively an Anycubic customer - have:

2xKobra 2 Max's
3x Kobra 3 (2 are combo)
2x Kobra 2 Pro.

The only problems I've ran into is the hotend getting gummed up occasionally that requires a tear down and nozzle replacement. And by that, I mean once every 4 months or so. The Kobra 3's are running pretty much non stop. 90% of my prints are PLA, 10% are TPU.

I've been tempted to buy a Bambu because of the rave reviews but honestly, the Anycubics have worked out very well for me and they're half the price - sometimes even better if you get Anycubic deals.

oh man :( I don't mean to be a contrarian but I switched to Edge from Chrome when Chrome went haywire and refused to play YouTube videos. I tried disabling a bunch of privacy addons and also tried Incognito mode but it just wouldn't play. I actually like using Edge. I haven't noticed an increase in performance but it does a better job of blocking ads than plain Chrome.

Also, I kinda prefer Copilot to Grok, Einstein AI, GPT. I've tried all but Copilot is the best one so far. It's not perfect but it does really good for my needs.

"But what are we doing at the same time?"

Well, we're vilifying entrepreneurs and making it as difficult as possible for new ideas to emerge unless they are somehow linked to the latest social justice fad. Have an awesome idea to fix some complicated manufacturing process? Steady on there, first we need you to complete 35 environmental studies and once you're done with that, you have to show how this new capability is going to improve the employment chances of some marginalized group. And then, we're going to tax you to within an inch of your life for the audacity of trying to earn a buck. And if, somehow, you survive all that, we'll slap you with a tariff just to destroy whatever motivation you had left.

It's capitalism, but not as you know it.

Apologies for the doom and gloom nature of this post.
