If they know ahead of time that they can't just "trap" Fred for Steve's baby...it might give them a little pause on cheating around and more babies out there.....just a thought.

Everyone I know who makes my equivalent AGI, except for my household, has 1+ dogs, work crazy hours, and have been told that their dogs are lonely and depressed.
Not one or two people.
EVERYONE. Dozens upon dozens of my clients, colleagues, peers, friends from grade school, etc, have a dog or two, and then they have to have someone come spend time with said dog when they're putting 10+ hours away from them.
Wag/Rover/etc is part of their crazy consumer spending. I always am shocked to hear they're spending $1000 a month on their pets.
Americans are insane about their pets. Instead of buying a dog, I invest in corporate veterinary hospitals, because it's crazy profitable.
Most minority groups do integrate, and bring along their culture to mix into the rest.
I dunno....when I see all these protests in the US, these assholes are all waving other countries' flags....I'd actually be a bit more at ease and listen if they were waving the American flag...
People waving flags of other countries while rioting and being violent....strike me as invaders from a foreign land that need to be defended against, you know?
I'm 48 and holy crap I must agree. My back is hurting on and off, never used to. Foods I used to eat just fine now make me feel bleah and sick to my stomach. I've needed new eyeglass prescriptions four times in the last five years; before I went with the same prescription for a decade.
It's perfectly normal but still scary. It's like suddenly your body goes "Okay I've had enough" and yells at you to take it easier.
I hate it.
Lots of friends going well till early 60's and then BAM, everyone getting hit with health problems.
"We quickly mitigated an attempt to exploit a known issue"
If the issue was known why didn't you mitigate it BEFOREHAND so this would not become an issue?
Trillion-dollar company and can't even be bothered to do basic fixes on known problems before rolling something out. What the fuck.
There must be some really juicy things in those files about him. No other explanation makes sense. Or maybe about someone of the group of cretins he put into important positions.
I think there's a very good possibility that Epstein was an intelligence agency(s) asset....and there are a lot of people that do not want that out....that he was used for intelligence purposes, to blackmail, etc famous people and world leaders.
Something tells me that is something they dug up and now are wanting to shut down...
Here's a reference that details some of that, and also notes it's probably going to get even worse if/when Trump's tariffs kick in:
Beef prices are soaring: Hereâ(TM)s why
The countries that export a significant amount of meat, such as New Zealand and Australia, are facing a 10 percent tariff, while others, like Brazil, which has exported 216,119 metric tons of meat this year, might be staring at a 50 percent tariff.
Still, multiple other factors have contributed to the rise in beef prices, including drought conditions, a downward trend in the number of herds, high supply costs and a parasite impacting some imported cattle.
We should be MORE than capable of raising enough beef in the US to meet any US beef needs.
we don't need imported meats....
I do not think anymore that people are capable of this. A few are and they do it without prompting (the 10-15% "independent thinkers") the rest is just dumb and honestly believes ignoring things makes them go away. They do not even understand what a fact is, much less that it can be verified.
You may be leaving out a substantial number of people that. "Just don't care"....
I'm leaning pretty heavily towards that group of folks.
I mean I don't see this destroying the world of my way of life in my lifetime......and therefore I don't see a compelling reason to change my lifestyle, go out of my way , or even compromise my comfort for something of no perceivable benefit to my remaining lifetime....
I'm in Lahaina right now. There was a fire here two years ago. You may have heard of it.
Nope....never heard of it...
Robotics as a field is about to surge, and food prep will be one of those things that many people will have a robot in their home for.
I doubt that in many cases....for instance, I happed to really ENJOY cooking....and prep work is part of it. I learned my knife skills for a good reason.
And for restaurants that are at least a level or two above fast food...they're not going to want everything to be non-human perfect, etc....otherwise why go to any particular restaurant when the full experience would be just exactly the same with full blown robotic food prep and service...?
It's funny how we get comments like this but we never hear conservatives complain about the loss of freedom from us banning all kinds of other dangerous stuff. That FDA and their freedom hating right?
Are you trying to argue that the FDA is a constitutionally protected right?
What jobs won't be AI impacted?
Most restaurant work would be one....
