You do know once a lithium ion battery in an EV catches on fire the fire departments can only dunk it to put it out. Many race tracks have the same concern.
Eclectic batteries have been around a long time, prolly as long as the internal combustion engine. In the past we got to pick when to use appropriate technology. Right now EV transportation is being shoved down everyone's throat, those government incentives did not exist when transportation changed from horse and buggy to the automobile. I think the electric pickup from Dodge will hit the right balance. Dodge really can't figure out how to make a transmission that last more than the warranty period so it will be a win-win for them. I can't wait for all the rich people to get 1000kwh or 2000kwh chargers at home, it will mean running 3 phase to your shop should be just as cheap.
