Simple, the amount of crashes caused by a human or a driverless car over an x amount of miles in a city environment. People really are bad at driving generally, almost all accidents are caused by a human driver not paying attention while driving, not due to some technical failure of the car itself (in 'first world' countries).

Looking at hollywood you don't need ideas or creativity, most are remakes, reboots or rehashes of 'foreign' movies... So many books still not done as a movie or series, and I certainly see AI doing these in the future where you just tell you want to watch a certain book, give it a runtime and a style, and it'll generate a 'hollywood quality' show you can watch immediately.

Chinese movies are more than only Kung Fu, and a lot of times their movies are even more entertaining as a lot of hollywood movies. I've seen many chinese movies (with original audio, not the horrible english dubs) and they tend to feel different compared to hollywood movies, and maybe that's why I like them too.

Next version coming out are what you want, light glasses with puck at belt. But having used several headsets with a tethered batterypack(for very long times), I can honestly say that I'd rather have a slightly heavier headset with everything built in. The Pico 4 is a great example of a perfectly balanced headset, and I can easily play for many hours, but I do have to extend it with an extra batterypack sadly. Quest without a thirdparty headstrap sure is much less comfortable, but there are a few excellent comfortable headstraps out, and even with hitswappable batterypacks.

Does it matter it is niche? Isn't golf niche? Isn't surfing niche? Isn't carting niche? So many hobbies which require 'expensive' extras to do are out there, why should VR be any different, why would it need to be mainstream? Or just look at sims, people spend thousands of dollars on controllers, special seats or extra monitors.

Uhm, its Alyx still works perfectly on my original Vive and Vive Pro.. I think you mistake the Microsoft XR based headsets, which of course is ridiculous the manufacturers never supplied a SteamVR compatible drivers for, but the market is much larger as those.

Oh utter bullshit. Even the Quest 3 and the Pico 4 as standalone headsets give an awesome VR experience.. you're just talking out if your ass with BS specs.. yeah of course the lighter the headset and higher resolution the better, but saying without it it just isn't VR is really utter BS.

What utter bullshit. Latency isn't horrible, encoding/decoding is getting better and better, and thanx to foveated streaming AND rendering (which both still will get many improvements), wireless streaming is almost as good as cabled DP, only in side by side comparison AND looking for it, you will notice the difference, but during regular gameplaying you wont. Streaming has come a long way since years back. To me it's actually any company that creates a headset with cable only is a doa headset.. cable has become absolete, and certainly with the next gen chipsets and wifi.

Uhh, Boeing and SpaceX both got the contract to develop a human capable capsule, but Boeing got $4.2 billion and SpaceX got $2.6 billion. Crew dragon's first commercial flight was in 2020, Starliner still hasn't flown a commercial flight, and might even be cancelled alltogether, as ut was meant for ISS.

Sorry, but none of their new glen launches was without problems, especially the last one, which obliterated their complete launchpad. (Previous one did lift off and flew great but didn't land properly). So in that regard their testflights weren't much better as SpaceX.

And SpaceX will probably launch their own network too, probably even before Blue Origin has its craft ready. As SpaceX its target is also Mars, and they need to communicate with their Starships and robots, Starlink will be their comms.
