Journal SolemnDragon's Journal: *sproi-oingggg* 11

The spring is sprunging, spranged, will have spronged?

Happy first day of sproing!!!!!

*sproi-oingggg*

and now, welcome to silly songs with dragons, where a dragons sings something silly. Sorry, zadr, we were rearranging the studio yesterday, no recording of unsilly somethings. So here's something silly:

dull is the ground
the trees are still bare
but i understand
there's springs under there

something that makes
the green blades rise
is plotting the cold
old winter's demise

dull is the ground
the leaves are unseen
but i know the secret
of springs in the green

i know the secret
of springs under ferns
and flowers just lining up
waiting their turns

the trees are all waking,
the bunnies go boing.
and spring will spring out-
i mean sprunged- i mean- SPROING!!!

Spring always makes me silly.

March madness meant something back before basketball, ya know. It was the time when animals (and people) went crazy with spring.

So, welcome to spring.

Do something silly.

Me, i brought angel food cake to eat at lunch. Last night i had cake before dinner.

Write a silly spring poem! remember, in the words of tom lehrer- "It sounds more ethnic if it ain't good english, and it don't even gotta rhyme..."

SIlly silly!!!

(SPROING!)

also, i challenge you to use the word "Sproinged," in serious conversation with another adult today.

  • b-b-b-ut, what happened to winter? :( it's my favorite season (autumn a close second) and i think we received about 2 inches of snow and 1 week of cold weather.

where is the frost on the windows?
where is the hot chocolate and watching movies with blankets?

it was too hot for any of that.

but spring is nice. shit, i'm trying to be supportive here, but i just miss good winters!!!
  • Spring has sprung
    The grass is ris'
    I wonder where
    The birdies is

    The birdies on the wing.

    Oh my Gosh! How absurd!
I thought the wing was on the bird!

  • As today, my drive in was snowy and icy, and snow continues to fall at a 45 degree angle.

    What is this "spring"?
  • i challenge you to use the word "Sproinged," in serious conversation with another adult today.

But I thought the goal was to be different from all the other days?

Also, one of the best poems about Spring written by my friend under the desk in Mr. Twadle's (His real name) Algebra II class. *ahem*

    Spring has sprung,
    The grass hath rise
    Gee- what a great poet:
    I are.

    • My high school math teacher's name was Mr. Dingwall. My friends and I used to write surreptitious poetry in class too, but most of it was about geometry.
  • If the Autumnal Equinox signals the start of Autumn then why doesn't the Vernal Equinox signal the start of Vern?
  • The day was awful cold to say the least
And then the sun slipped out of sight
It ain't a fit night out for man nor beast
We're gonna make our move tonight
We'll take the mothballs off the uniform
We'll make the white shirt stiff with starch
We'll put the polish on the flugelhorn
    And do the February March

We'll have an Old Man Winter-ectomy
We're gonna march him out of town
We're gonna burn Jack Frost in effigy
    For keepin' Mother Nature down
And in the air that dulls like Novocaine
    We'll have a break I have a hunch
    We'll

"Necessity is the mother of invention" is a silly proverb. "Necessity is the mother of futile dodges" is much nearer the truth. -- Alfred North Whitehead
