I'm still impressed that the Teams web client can't edit a message with an emoji in it without messing up the keyboard controls and often corrupting the message and losing data. It's had this bug for years. It's literally a messaging app where you can't reliably send messages.

Hydrogenated oils seemed like a miracle food because they didn't go rancid. It turned out that if microbes can't break them down, neither can the human digestive tract. We now know that hydrogenated oils are not safe. Bananas that don't spoil could be just as indigestible, and would be no good for banana bread in any case.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just did it the easy way - dropped out of university, eventually move to Montreal where it was almost *difficult* to be a programmer and not end up at a game studio. Thankfully the industry grew in Toronto as well and I was able to move back after some lovely years there.
