If you include MANY times police misused Flock cameras, does the overall crime rate go up, or down?

I guess Bezos missed "world backup day".

When you don't look forward to teaching, it's time to retire and get a different job. How helpful is a teacher who shows he doesn't like dealing with his students to the point where he doesn't want to enter his own classroom. (Forget about which LLM, or whatever he thinks is important to not use.) This reminds me of when teachers thought using a calculator was cheating.

I can hardly wait for people to get sued for copyright infringement because they have silence on a website. Or get their website pulled from YouTube for copyright infringement for the same.

If we have Microsoft, or any other big conglomorate, run a nuke plant, then THEY should have to put up the money up front for the cleanup of the nuclear waste and the cleanup of any failures of the plant. They should not be allowed to not rely on tax dollars now or in the future if the plant goes Chernobyl or Fukushima on us.

Mine too. I chuckled when I read that 15 sequential reboots of Windows would fix the problem.

If indeed the satellites do damage the ozone hole, perhaps it should be mandatory that those who earn money from putting up the satellites put cash in escrow to help take them down if found to be making life on earth in jeopardy? That financial protection should protect the sky view faster than anything else.

Yes, I do the same with public computers where I live. I personally like Mint xfce, as it's very easy for ex-Windows users. I put shortcuts on the desktop to Writer(LibreOffice Write) and Web Browser(Firefox). (and I put shortcuts to the major email providers in Firefox's toolbar, to make life even easier.) That's good enough for a lot of people.

Interesting thought about only the feds can pass such a law...wonder what their reaction would be IF the federal government passed a right to repair your own car law? Would they then complain, too?

My first reaction was, "I should get this in a hurry." But then I thought, I haven't used MSO in years, am happy with LibreOffice, and before that, StarOffice. So why waste money on MSO? All my computers in the last many years have LO on them, Linux, Winders, and Mac. I'm happier with that than I was with my previously free or discounted MSO.

I save on my car warranty every few days, thanks to these robocalls. Why, I'm even on a first name basis with Jennifer of customer services!

Using Android on Windows with a Microsoft account just seems like a way to give Microsoft all my information that I was unwilling to give them. (Thus I chose Android instead of Microsoft phone, back when they tried to sell it.) My computers are a mix of: Microsoft Windows 10, OS/X, Linux, and ChromeOS.

Will Zuck start to wonder why so many people are cheering his "Decline and fall" from Rome?

I opened up my NFT and found that Dave's not there!

Windows version 1 was the worst, followed by Windows version 2. Sure,.some others were bad, but come on, why no ability to vote for those turkeys?
