Journal Malto's Journal: I've finally got a job 2

Well, I guess the subject says it. I'll be lifeguarding at the YMCA. It's not much of a job, but still a job. On a more pathetic note, I am much more out of shape than I thought I was. I had to swim 500 yards at a normal pace. By the end of that swim, I was completely exhausted and 10 minutes later I threw up. Then about 20 minutes later I was having problems even standing up and would've passed out if I hadn't sat down. That is really really bad considering a year ago I was doing 3500's on an empty stomach at a grueling pace without stopping, and even then I wouldn't get sick.

Well, no one is comming down to visit this weekend as they were planning. That really bites. I was looking forward to it quite a bit and had everything good and planned out.

Lets see what else.... My dad is still looking for a car that I can drive. I'm looking for an old one that I can play with. He said a guy that works for him has a 70 SuperB which would be really hot, despite the fact that it's a Plymouth and I'm a Chevy guy.

And as a further response to "why Arkansas?" The school I go to is Harding University. It's an alright little school. The atmosphere there is good, the rules are anal, and the people are pretty cool for the most part. Overall, I do like it there. It's not a bad place to live, but in no way do I plan on living there for the rest of my life. I'm hoping to buy a house there and just sell it when I graduate. In all, this probably gives me 5 or 6 years to live in the place if I buy it by this fall. If you're wondering and didn't know, I am a sophomore at the moment and not that far away from being a junior. There is something that makes things a little more odd than that though. I've got three majors. Yep, three. Youth and family ministry, computer engineering, and math. No, I don't know why I have those three, and yes, I do know what I want to do. I'm planning on being a youth minister so computer engineering type stuff will just be a hobby probably, while math is just there to look pretty. The math degree is only 3 extra classes with the combination of Y&F min, and CE.
