Absolutely zero evidence has ever been presented that Cheeto Benito was injured in any way, let alone actually struck by anything.

If you believe that orange piece of shit was shot when no medical records have been released, you're as much of a dumbfuck as the people who believe his claims of height and weight.

I'm surprised that x86 is still a thing. It is pretty clear that ARM chips now able to run circles around Intel chips both on the portable and the server market, especially when you consider the compute per watts.

Square footage still matters and per thread performance still matters. ARM is way behind on both, to get the same performance you need more machines and that means more management and real estate costs.

Now, I got some Intel shares last month because, just like the big banks and the Detroit car manufacturers, I believe they are Too Big To Fail and will likely get bailed out by our tax dollars when it comes to it.

Probably true, but I hope you lose that bet.

Everyone compromised speed for security without realizing it if they went for an out of order processor.

Intel did it much worse than AMD, and about the same as IBM in terms of vulnerability and performance impact of mitigation.

Core 2 was pretty decent, that's fair. But by the time the i7 came around AMD was kicking their ass at everything but single thread. Even though I am a gamer that's never been the only thing I cared about, and I've also always been cheap, so to have AMD provide dramatically more ops per buck and have very competitive processors which were outright faster in many situations has had me an AMD customer solidly since Athlon. AMD never was able to keep up with Intel's process technology, but by the time that ceased to be a thing, all Intel had left was inertia and skullduggery.

My last non-netbook Intel-based system that I bought with my own money (I had an Elitebook with a Core 2 Duo for a moment) was a P2 400 because AMD has kicked Intel right in the goodies in the market segments I care about since right around then. Only Hammer has even been slightly disappointing since Athlon, and it was still an absolute value for money champ.

In most hiring scenarios, it doesn't seem likely that any "software architect" is going to care what hr sees.

1). Human hr received application in original docx format
2). Human hr feeds document to AI bot
3). Bot reads it and gives it paas/fail
4). Human hr conducts second pass review based on original application

Maybe larger orgs will insist on reprocessing applications and feeding them into a database for easier access of data, but I don't see that being a given.
