Who decides what's true and what's false? Who gets to hold who "accountable", and what does that look like? How does that look any different than punishing someone for speech you don't like?

Some of y'all need more than a surface understanding of the 1st amendment, with a focus on how it came about in the first place.

I regularly walk through bad part of town, there are shops that still advertise $50 used smartphones. I think we will stop treating many devices as disposable, which is a good thing, and will start insisting on right to repair and longer support. If Apple can support phones for 10+ years and offer affordable battery replacements, then so can Samsung, Google, etc. and if not, they will lose market share.

I don't know if HEB includes a tip, but I know that Walmart doesn't do tips. When I worked in the front end of a Walmart Supercenter six years ago, associates were trained to refuse tips, and if someone insists, to ring it up as a donation to whatever charity Walmart is collecting for at the time. Often that ends up being the nearest Children's Miracle Network hospital.

Do you have the code for the compiler, and compile that yourself too?

If you have three different compilers for a language, and you bootstrap a compiler using all three of them, the first generation (e.g. GCC compiled with QuestionableCC, ShadyCC, or SlopCC) should be functionally identical, and the second generation (GCC compiled with GCC, which was compiled with the other compiler) should be bit-identical. See "Fully Countering Trusting Trust through Diverse Double-Compiling" by David A. Wheeler. Some people have trouble trusting Rust because only the latest stable rustc can compile the latest stable rustc.

No, your argument is superficial with a significant flaw that intent is baked into public use of both Flock and Meta's glasses. While there might be legitimate uses for smart glasses, such as manufacturing or remote surgery (I am going on limb here, Meta glasses are not used in such way as far as I know), the vast, overwhelming usage is to produce non-consenting public recordings of people and leak them to Meta for further data mining.
