Comment Re:Do you need gigabit to a household? (Score 2) 110

Working from home, as a contractor, so always connected to client via VPN. A contract could be done with a 1MB link because there is about no comm needed, another contract for a broadcasting company required downloading/uploading gigs and gigs of video per day and the gigabit link makes a big difference here.

I tap to pay since ~2016, checking account or credit card, both are in Google Pay, I never went back.

I only use cash for things I buy on Marketplace and even then, in Canada we do interac transfer it's instantaneous and free.

Same thing, a false popup of a site saying that I have to unblock html-load.com because it break the site, it is not broken, they are using an anti-ads script. uBlockOrigin does not block it, it needs javascript injection or a tampermonkey script.

Where is the "Disable Ads" checkbox we had for 25 years?!?

Comment Re:MX Linux? (Score 5, Informative) 83

I used Mint with Cinnamon years ago, I tried to like it like everyone does, but I hated it, especially the UI. Then I discovered MX Linux, I started with MX18 IIRC, with Xfce, it's so simple, so nice, so fast, no systemd, no snap, no flatpak. For me (developer) I'm using MX 8h/day for maybe 5 years now, best distro ever, never broken, always up to date with latest kernel, FF, etc.
