Some SCADA stuff that monitor powerlines and water utilities and all are super old, those working with 3G modem are being replaced at least, it is sometimes 20 years old technology without security. For instance it reports by SMS and you send SMS to it to execute commands and all.

My KIA has a startup screen where you can press "confirm", but there is a 7s timeout or something so it's not too bad, I just ignore it.

They broke support, for the username, maybe 20 years ago, my username was "Frédéric54" but after a slashcode update I was unable to log, I had to contact CmdrTaco to debug this and it was because they broke accented characters badly. Taco had to rename my username in the database...

This is really sad, I started with Arduino in 2007 or something, you just needed an ATMEGA168 and a few component around and you were in business. Add some sensors, inputs, a 16x2 LCD, and you could do a lot of fun things :) Now they propose something like a rPi ?!?

I am using Public Mobile and my Poco F3 is not in their whitelist but I can "bypass the carrier check" and have VoLTE, it works fine. A lot of carrier can be bypassed.

But some like Rogers or Fido will block your IMEI or charge you 75$/month if your phone is not in their list, this is unacceptable.

Yes, but only some places like theatres and mall centre. I think in houses it is something like 4%, compared to 90% in Florida or even 60% in Canada.
