I think the publishers who are complaining are mostly these who prioritize making money over publishing content. [...] Maybe we're getting closer to a content-driven web and all the the sites that generate content mostly to get people to see ads will lose.

Researching, writing, and hosting aren't free. It sounds like now that AI-driven search no longer relays messages from a site's sponsors, you would prefer that all the major news organizations go out of business. Then who would have the privilege of asking follow-up questions to the press secretaries of the executive branches of governments?

We started a phishing training program this year. The email that kicked off the campaign, inviting us to our first online lesson, looked like a phishing attempt. It was laughable. I reached out to the head of IT to point that out, and he had to send around a mass email reassuring us all that the message from a company weâ(TM)d never heard of was, in fact, legit.

If you are in a stressful situation (ie, lion is chasing you), then you want your resources/energy to be directed to activity as much as possible, allowing you to deal with the problem. Cortisol has a similar short term energy boost (at the cost of literally wasting away your muscles).

It's helpful in the short term but causes problems if it is constant, chronic stress.
