You can't just say 'haptics' and ignore the simple fact that within any technology there are degrees of differences and nuance.

The old rumble pads just spun motors to vibrate the entire device. By today's tech they were sledge hammers compared to today's haptic scalpel.

Modern haptics is more than just a rumble, it is very concise feedback that can (nearly) simulate the very physical click of a physical button along with the click sound. The method to do this can be patented, just like there is fuel injection in almost every gas car but every company patents their differing method to control the injection.

Also remember our patent system is about 'first to patent' and not 'first develop' They could be a troll or they could not, which is up to the courts and not you or me.

Now how does it print the array when someone asks for a 'print out' of those few cells and gets two reams of data listed in 'one cell'.

Blaming AI for this shit is just a red herring, the problem has and will always exist until we sheep stop putting our data out there; which won't happen as it is too convenient to sit in mom's basement and run** your digital life.

At that point you can walk away or keep it going while issuing yourself stock.

Real money is in actually doing things, the modern programmer/developer is not it. Notice interest is now moving (back?) towards engineering.
