Donâ(TM)t worry, behind closed doors it's all assured that as long as they keep making the donor class more money, everything will be OK for them.

from Marjorie Taylor Greene all the way on down, behind closed doors they are incredibly smart people who know exactly what they are doing. itâ(TM)s all a show to grift and distract you from whatâ(TM)s really happening, which is stealing everything you have and your entire future.

It's a club and you and I aren't part of it.

isnâ(TM)t it incredibly interesting how the rants he goes on are about so many other countries, but the Saudis are just somehow never talked about? And how billions of dollars went to Jared Kushner and are now going to Trump via his shit coin?

But.... these are either possibilities you're talking about OR solar energy on one's house, which costs a lot of money! Spedning more money, then spending even MORE on an EV? that's not free as in beer energy.

At the end of teh day EVs just don't make sense yet, especially in cold weather climates. In another 5-10 years I'm hoping they do, but we need WAY better technology and a lot more infrastructure before ditching ICE vehicles makes sense.

you say that as if colleges, just decide what gets talked about on campus. as if they are some sort central master dictating who says what.

they are not. People are going to talk about what they are going to talk about. Sure the college can set certain regulations and rules, and they can have professors of every stripe who teach various ways and hold various viewpoints.

any group of people is going to eventually become an echo chamber. Being open to more than one side of things is difficult for any group because it causes turmoil instead of agreement, which enables social cohesion. social cohesion is important for feeling safe and having good cognitive health and learning.

I went to a fairly small college, and there were lots of viewpoints of every sort at that one, you just needed to seek them out.

Rogue one was headed in the right direction. Quite possibly my 2ndfavorite Star Wars movie at this point. Even the second movie of the most recent trilogy had some very interesting ideas (with a mess of plot holes though), which got cut off at the knees because Disney absolutely positively did not want creativity or any critical thinking to go with their Star Wars fans.

The horrible thing is that they were right: they made more money off of the idiotic baby Yoda than they would ever make off of a thought-provoking and interesting Star Wars film.

Much like everything in America these days, make it stupid so it will sell

They Wonder why I have headphones on all day? The constant chatter. Phones ringing. People coughing. People hacking up phlegm (every 5 minutes!!!) Sounds of slurping and eating and utensils against ceramic. All. Fucking. Day.

The only time I get any peace to focus is when everyone is gone. Which is equivalent to working from home anyway.

I do not work in a busy office either. But coming home? I'm exhausted from... Something? Low quality air? Sensory overload? Who knows. leave me at home and let me get stuff done.
