Yeah, like that matters.

These days it's more economical to sacrifice incels.

A brown nose?

Yeah, and Trump is promising to wrap up the war immediately after the upcoming elections.

I've always been a big fan of space exploration, but for a country that can't afford its lifestyle a moon base doesn't sound very important priority.

(Or maybe I should have said "isn't willing to pay for" its lifestyle.)

My cranky post was about a Samsung. I didn't mention the brand because I assumed their all that way.

I bought my first-ever "smart" TV this year, and the interface is horrible. The hardware is fine, but everything else is designed for people pushing stuff, rather than for a user.

I thought the Yandex attacks had shut down all the russian bots.

Then FISA could give Putin a peace prize!

Or else some con man is bilking the gov out of a shitload of your tax dollars by selling a piece of junk to gullible wishful thinkers eager to get their hands on a magic bullet.

SpaceX needs Tesla's revenue to subsidize its AI efforts.

Tesla needs SpaceX for all the AI resources that were diverted from Tesla to SpaceX.

Ever since I read Accidental Empires as a kid I knew that I wanted to work at a startup (or even found one) and live in Silicon Valley. That didnâ(TM)t really work out, even though I havenâ(TM)t fully given up yet (except the Silicon Valley part). I probably wouldnâ(TM)t be on Slashdot without him. Over the last decades I enjoyed his blogs, looked forward every year to his bold prediction, and was entertained by the crazy (but not successful) startups we he worked on. This year I was thrilled that he started blogging again, only to be shocked that even more terrible things have happened to him (heart attack, stroke and death of this son), and surprised that he was an ex-neighbour of and friends with Avram Miller, who writes an awesome blog I discovered to is year. RIP Bob. You will be missed.
