    My experience with APS

    Summary: Overall I'm satisfied with APS, with its easiness of use, and the APS guys are always ready to support us.

    Positive: My familiarization with APS began in 2015. As a non-American user, I started to use it very easily. I have barely experienced any program failures like the system being slow, the system not saving anything, or slow loading, etc. I remember only one day having some difficulties in using the program but it was solved quickly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The guys always supported the force majeure situations that happened in our company, even if I sent my requests at the very last minute.
    The system continuously is being improved by adding new features.

    Negative: I don't have any disadvantages to point out.

    Experience with the APS System

    Summary: Because we spent a lot of time researching before selecting the APS system, we were impressed that the sales team accurately represented the program. We were given valuable information that made the integration process much cleaner as we moved our data from the previous software. We found that the added modules were valuable, and I would definitely recommend them as assets to the APS system. The integrated system works seamlessly and has provided all that was promised to us. The support staff have been quick to respond, knowledgeable about the software, and willing to work with us on upgrades that we have requested. I would highly recommend APS to others who are searching for a well-developed, robust software system.

    Positive: Our church began the process of selecting and setting up the APS system 2 1/2 years ago. We found that what the sales team shared was very informative and accurate. As we began the setup process, we found that most of the support staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. We moved from a system that was not integrated, so we were very pleased with the fact the program is seamless. We added the Attendance, Benefit, New Hire, and Onboarding modules and highly recommend them. The downloading of the data came across smoothly and accurately, with very few "glitches." We have found that the dimensions have allowed us to implement the details required for our multiple locations, departments, and events. The software has exceeded our expectations with the ability to fulfill the requirements we desire in HR software. The support staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable when we reach out to them. When issues are above their level of expertise, they quickly push the questions to the programming level. I would highly recommend this software to anyone who needs a robust HR system.

    Negative: During the setup process, we were assigned an individual who was not as knowledgeable about the system as we needed. This created delays as the person needed to spend too much time either researching or consulting others. Some of the detail required in setting up the system was cumbersome, but after completion, it has worked seamlessly.

    THE ONLY TRUE TURN-KEY, TOTAL PACKAGE, HRIS SYSTEM

    Summary: After extensive, exhaustive reviews of ADP, UKG/Ulti Pro, NetSuite, Pay Com, Paycor, Bamboo HR, SAP, Workday, Namely, Ripple & APS the choice was glaringly obvious. APS, hands-down is the only fully unified HRIS platform and eats the other HRIS operations lunch when it comes to intuitiveness and ease of use. Switching from UKG was a cinch and I had a dedicated team that held our hands every step of the way providing training to all management at the time of switching and any time it is needed. If I have an issue I’m unsure of my dedicated service team who knows me by name answers my emails with a resolve within 20 minutes almost every time.

    I have used many platforms over course of my career and you do not get the same level of service and care from any other HRIS provider out there.

    I command a robust HR army of two... without APS I'd be bald and my generalist would have quit her job already. Seriously, having APS as our workforce partner has allowed me to do more strategic HR programs that even bigger companies struggle with.     Summary: I previewed many programs and found APS met our needs. Many others have fancy bells and whistles, but bells and whistles don't get the work done!

    Positive: Initial setup was thorough and expedient. We have some unusual circumstances and APS was able to meet our needs. We are a non-profit and APS has met all our needs.
    APS Hire makes it easy to vet, hire and onboard new employees and be able to keep track of where each applicant is in the hiring process.
    We particularly appreciate our Support team. They are timely and thorough.
    The Online Help feature is thorough and easy to understand.
    Is easy to navigate. Very intuitive for those determined to figure things out themselves.
    Very comprehensive. Exceptional at keeping program up to date. I marvel at the minds behind the scenes!

    Negative: Currently does not communicate directly with our benefits providers. This will change in near future. Our main provider is updating their system and employee portal.

    Summary: This is a great product that is easy for employees and supervisors to use. The reporting is also great and I never have issues with state taxes as we are in multiple states and rely on APS to do all our quarterly and unemployment taxes.

    Positive: The customer service is fast and knowledgeable. When I have a question, they are fast to respond with an answer and not to tell me they have to escalate the issue or get back to me. The few times they have had to get back to me on something, it usually only takes a couple hours to get the answer versus days and repeated follow up.

    Negative: There isn't a scheduling piece that allows my employees to drop a shift for someone else to pick up.

    APS has simplified my payroll process

    Summary: Of course there was a learning curve at first, but I'm really happy with their payroll platform. If I have a question, I send an email and get a response with an hour or so. If I need immediate assistance, I can always call them.

    Positive: I don't have to re-enter a salary, so unless it changes I can skip that step and not worry that's it's incorrect. The entire process doesn't take very long at all, especially on a payroll run without any changes. Any changes I do make are easily done. Timesheets are easily uploaded to keep track of days off.
    I don't have to worry about filing quarterly reports with various state agencies; APS does it for me. W2's are easily circulated.
    If I have any changes that I'm not sure about I can run them by my team and get a quick answer and explanation.

    Negative: I'm used to making changes for the Group Life deduction at the end of the year for former employees. APS requires some paperwork completed on this and they have to make the changes in-house.
