The vaccines aren't perfect, and breakthrough infections are still a thing. Hence, it is counter productive to cheer a failure of a possible treatment, because we actually need an available one. And your take is in anyway based on actual evidence or are you just using your "gut"? Because that would make you no more reasonable then any of the other conspiracy theorists out there.

There was a story somewhere (can't find the links now, sorry) claiming that the type of bat that is normally the host for COVID-19 virus does not live in the area, so it is unlikely those bats were for sale on the local market, hence the theory above.
