As a former Navy trained Reactor Operator on a submarine I am really insulted by this idea that a computer AI do what I did. Remember, humans make mistakes sometimes but to really foul things it takes a computer.

Yea, I got hacked also. I started the free credit monitoring service offered from UnitedHealth and Change Healthcare via IDX Services but No way. Strike 1: I go to their web site to register but it said the II had to disable my add blocker. Not going to do that. So I call the 1 888 number. I give some information to support and the send me a email link to finish the account setup process. They were very insistent that I check my spam folder and sure enough the email they sent went directly to spam, Strike 2. After I get registering the new account the password I created was never accepted. An "exception error" was generated. Then the support guy asked me if I was useing Chrome browser. I say "No, I'm using Firefox running Slackware Linux". He replied the I have to use Chrome. Strike 3 and you are OUT. So no credit monitoring for me.
Its named Ivermectin. Check out the data about it on www.flccc.net. That's the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance. Actual Doctors treating real Covid-19 patents. They have several drugs in different protocols for Doctors to use. The problem is Ivermectin is a very inexpensive generic drug. Nobody is going to get rich making it. It had full FDA approval 40 years ago when it was brought it to market. It's been used over 3 billion times world wide over 40 years with what is only described as mild side effects that resolve in a few days. It won the Nobel prize in Medicine for its discovery. A study in the UK determined it was a safe drug to use for children as long as they mass more than 15 kilos. This is the only drug I know that the dose is dependent on your body mass.
At this point in time the Coast Guard is actually part of the DOT. It becomes attached to the Navy in times of declared war. I think WW2 was the last actual declared war by Congress. Cost Guard people go through Navy boot camp but then go on to guard the coast or whatever. I was Navy, my brother was Coast Guard.

I feel left out too. Slackware 14.2 is all I use unless I'm forced to use Windows. Then I have a Windows 7 home edition still on my wife;s netbook. I love my wife and she does not use it at all. She's on her iPAD Mini and iPhone 4 all the time.
Damm it. Where is the spoiler alert when you need one! I just started re-reading the DUNE books and now the plot is ruined for me.

Hay, I'm so old I remember (details fuzzy) that PCs with CPM (Control Program for Microcomputers) had no BIOS to worry about. You make a boot floppy that defined your hardware.

I won't use a debit card untill they make crediting the account just as fast as a debit action. In other words, never.

Outlook personal data files *.pst files hold the archived data. The copy of the Exchange database is in the *.ost file. Let microsoft release that file format and we might be able to replace the Exchange data store.
The way to go is the 8 bit SCSI card, my friend. Adaptec ST01 is what you want. Actually, a 8-bit IDE host adapter should be fine. I might even have one of those as well. I just scrapped a SCSI floppy drive a few weeks ago. Reply if you're interested...
Real Programmers don't write in PL/I. PL/I is for programmers who can't decide whether to write in COBOL or FORTRAN.
