As a test, and because I 'Failed' the Win 11 compat test, I just rebooted, enabled PTT or something and now I Pass the test and can upgrade for the low, low price of Free when it comes out.
So yeah, it's all about the TPM for the most part. All modern CPUs have it built into the CPU itself.

Actually TCL is one of the few brands that doesn't do this. The Roku interface has an unobtrusive 'suggestion' which basically recommends a random channel.
Samsung is the worst followed closely by LG, they go to an ad-channel every time you turn them on and you can't turn it off or remove it and every setting (eg. start last running app) is ignored.
That sounds like a faulty product.

It's about the specifications about the charger, its power output etc (so you can use the charger that you once got with your now dead phone to charge your new laptop, maybe new monitors etc).
Overall it's about trying to make things as universal as possible, so once the original device is old, maybe broken, stolen, lost etc the charger can still be used instead of thrown away.
I support it as it seems like a no-brainer to me. Electricity is electricity.
