And reddit.
Are there genuine, effective ad blockers for Android that block web browsing ads and in-app ads without carrying malicious code of their own? I feel doing a search on any of the major search engines would return tainted results as this is something advertisers wouldn't want people to know.
Having never heard of this company before, i first thought Chegg was somehow related to Cheggit, a long-defunct torrent site for, uh, culture stuff. Hope that Cheggit was somehow resurrected quickly turned into disappointment.
Meanwhile, 32-bit Firefox on Linux is unstable and crashes after a few minutes of light use (no streaming or social sites).
I can't see myself using any other browser but it's crap at this point and has been for years now.
But i play using downloaded b00tl3g repacks that have had the online stuff and DRM patched and disabled.
According to isolated reports, Windows 10 KB4532693 update is said to be 'deleting' files and users are unable to find their data in the temporary profile folder. In worst cases, users have lost all their personal data and they are unable to recover it even after uninstalling the patch.
Looks like the systemd people were copying features from windoze.
If i ever had to build my own house i'd do it with old, reused shipping containers. Buy some cheap land, lay down a concrete surface, plunk the structure on top and secure, hook up water, electricity, and drainage. Easy to build and customize, practically immune to earthquakes (my greatest fear), and due to loopholes in local laws are exempt from property taxes.
Unfortunately if it wasn't that pompous arrogant bastard, it would have been somebody else.
I'm not a regular user of reddit. I do have an account on the site but i don't browse it; i end up visiting reddit because of google searches. From what i've seen i think the quality of the posts and comments on reddit is poor. The signal-to-noise ratio is pretty low and it's a toxic waste dump. What kind of value is there for machine learning and AI training?
alternatively, you can use an old computer. It might be obsolete when faced with Microsoft's bloat, but it will probably be just fine with Linux.
My main work/everything-else-apart-from-games machine at home is an Asus laptop from 2008. I installed my first ever SSD on it last December and the thing runs Slackware 15 like a newly bought machine.
Religion flies humans into buildings.
Just because the Steam client is based on an embedded version of the google chrome spyware that stopped supporting windoze versions 10.
My main work laptop at home is an Asus from 2008 running Slackware 15.0 from last year.
My travelling work laptop is an HP 510 from 2007 running the same Slackware 15.0.
Granted, i didn't stick long with the stock kernels; i configured and compiled my own soon after i got the OS running and i knew exactly what hardware the two boxes had.
You insensitive clod!
Like stability and reliability? Firefox crashes a lot on my Slackware 15 system. Sometimes Fx just stops working; pages don't load, the spinner just keeps spinning, sometimes a network error gets displayed. I then open a terminal to ping a remote server to check, and i see my connections are fine. At this point opening a menu or something causes the whole thing to crash. What makes this more annoying for me is that for some reason, Fx starting up after a crash takes a loooong time with uBlock -- the longest i ever recorded was 4 minutes! I wish Fx devs stop adding crap and bloat and focus on fixing shit like this.
One good reason why computers can do more work than people is that they never have to stop and answer the phone.
