Comment Re:Piss Off Enough Of The Public (Score 2) 92

The answer isn't the status quo of personal vehicles belching out pollution. We're in trouble, climate-wise, because of pollution. Vehicles are not the only source of pollution (obviously) but ARE a part of it. That and ICE powerplants waste an enormous amount of their energy as heat.

Better power distribution is needed, not head-in-the-sand 'do nothing' idiocy.

They recommend using Get-EXOMailboxFolderStatistics instead.

Don't know if that resolves the issue you had or not though.

When I see some of the retrocomputing posts about getting a particular piece of hardware "working" it practically triggers PTSD-like anxiety. Back then there were days trying to make crap work that really never worked properly even when it was NEW. And now they're gazing it at as if it was some sort of divine set of chicken bones, ready to shed some great truth about the computing past. No, it won't. It was shit then and it's now just old shit and no you aren't missing some magic incantation that will bring it to life.

Still, you can't really emulate the sheer terror of hearing ACHTUNG! in Castle Wolfenstein and frantically trying to flip open the Disk ][ drive door before it could write your loss into the game save file. Good times.

Again, it wasn't HALF. 66% turnout. Half of that is ONE THIRD of eligible voters.

Now, is that enough to rise to "not going to be pretty"? Honestly, I don't think so. Especially not that they've now seen how savagely they've been co-opted by actual traitors. That's a better question to raise, how many wanted something "different, just not THIS different"?

No, it was not HALF the population. It was a THIRD of eligible voters. NOT HALF.

That's not a trivial difference. And it certainly makes one hopeful that the numbers aren't as daunting.

My impression is a great many didn't give a shit about Trump, but were so steadily fed a stream of lines about "the left" that they felt they had no choice but to vote for "their team".

Comment Re:This is awesome (Score 1) 251

Bearing mind the 'half' here is only from 66% of the eligible voters. Nearly 36% didn't vote at all.

So it's not 'half' but rather a third of eligible voters.

Couple that with repeated efforts on the part of conservatives to reduce voter eligibility and availability of polling places... it starts to look even worse for the GOP.

When more people vote, they tend to not vote for the conservatives.

I have a Premier Edition setup and stopped using it. The controllers are just not very good. I mean, they're better than the ones Amazon offers for their FireTV units but that's a pretty low bar. That and I'd encountered more than a few bandwidth related hiccups, this even when using it during likely off-hours (gaming-wise) on a wired network connection with a FIOS uplink.

Don't know that 'free' will help get over those hurdles.
