Not only that but Google's spam filter is the best I've ever seen. I run my own mail server but I funnel mail through gmail just to get the filter.

It isn't that easy. I ran my own server for years but Google's spam filters are much better than anything I could work out. Now I redirect all my mail through gmail simply to take advantage of their filters.

I'm talking about the developer tools in the desktop version of Chrome. You can use them by hitting Ctrl-Shift-I. They are public.

The download speed depends on the server as well as the net delivery system. I suspect that the slow speeds seen were because the servers were only delivering data at that speed. In any case, you can use Google's developer tools to see the download speeds from any site.

Don't you remember all the different chargers? I love being able to use any micro USB charger with any phone or camera. No more digging around to find the proprietary charger that I may have labelled to identify the device that it works with. It may pay the individual companies to design their own proprietary chargers and still be better for the consumer for the government to insist on a single design standard. The "free market" isn't some wonder drug.

That is precisely what scares me. With Trump as president and Congress run by radical nut jobs, who knows what might happen. Certainly nothing good. The man is truly scary.

I disabled ipv6 last night. Comcast drops the connection after a day or two and then anything that is trying to use ipv6 takes forever to fail over to ipv4. It was interfering with my usage. The only way to solve it was to reboot the router. Not worth it.
