About two years back I bought a new laptop at Micro-Center for $60. Unlike a raspberry pi, the laptop came with: power supply, battery, screen, keyboard, pointer device, case, memory, storage, and OS (Windows 10) installed.
If you don't mind used, you can probably find a desktop, or laptop, on craigslist for nothing, or next to nothing.
I think there are about 27 visas. Maybe some of the other visas are less appropriate for tech workers, but they will use them anyway.
Transitions may be okay in Impress. What about voice-overs or animations? Can you get an object to follow a path in Impress? You could do that in PP about 30 years ago.

I think all this systemd crap came from IBM. I think IBM has been effectively controlling Linux long before IBM bought Red Hat.
