"Screw you, give me revenue faster", Sam Altman is a joke.
I will not tell you how, but your assumptions are wrong about me.
Yes that too, but lets leave the idiots out of news and decisions.
Yeah, censorship is bad. But what is worse is humans like garbage, especially uneducated ones that can't tell the difference. There use to be news, with editors that would filter out the nonsense, and really only people that cared would read the news, you had to buy a paper or view a news site. Now we have social media companies that purvey garbage on purpose because it lines their pockets with ad revenue. So yeah you can get censorship, but a better thing would be to turn off the money spigot to companies and say you can't promote garbage, how you do that is up for discussion. But we have a problem on our hands that is equal to censorship, there are vast portions of the population that believe and purvey lies and garbage (we all know what they are, I'm not going to wax political) and that is a big problem that needs solving.
Enough said
This is foolish, the guardrails will be determined by software which could be compromised by AI. So even if you have a hardware switch, you'll still have models going off the rails.
is a money grab. Yes I'm concerned about AI going 'off the rails'. That is inherent to all tech that isn't based off of linear math, it becomes really hard to predict output from input (go study control theory). And research groups have proved that you will never be able to put guardrails on LLM's. But this is more than that. This is a PR stunt, because the more attention you get as an AI company (attention is all you need), the more people buy your products and the more investment dollars pour in.
They don't want the bubble to end, when it does it's going to be bad for valuations.
They are sure doing a good job stealing BTC and holding companies data hostage with that TRS-80.
Whatyagointodoaboutit? Encryption is here to stay.
Sam Altman: We are going to let our foot off the gas, and our competitors should also, because we are moral and good. Who on earth believes this?
But it might do you in
It was more of a sarcasm thing.
More secure than cash they said. Good thing I've invested in BTC, best investment ever!
