Comment hugely expensive? not really! (Score 1) 586

It's very sad to see the header to include "Hugely Expensive" by a reporter, this just means the reporter either does not understand the benefits Bernie's plan brings, or he got payed money for wording it that way; it's not even an expense, it's an investment and it will bring millions of jobs and will boost the economy.

Of course these attacks are funded and sponsored by oil, gas and coal industries who are already running out of business because renewables like solar, battery storage and wind power are cheaper and still a booming industry with hefty profits even though they offer electricity with lower prices.

All oil, gas and coal workers must go to school and learn about renewable electricity related jobs, because that's where the money already is.

Insurance companies can keep making money from your car insurance business, but health insurance is killing sick customers to make sure they remain profitable & you all know this, even though it is an extremely cruel conflict of interest: PAY OR DIE!

Bernie sanders is proposing to disappear the health insurance industry, instead it will be similar to Canada's single payer system, payed for by your taxes, no copays, no deductibles, no fees, ever, you just get completely cured by tax funded everything when you get sick.

So attacks on Bernie are also payed for and sponsored by all Insurance companies that will lose billions of dollars once he signs his dan bill into law!

Talk to a friend or family member with a disease, ask them about the expenses, you will quickly start feeling like a third world country when you realize that you die faster if you can't afford decease, the rich become poor, and the poor and elders just end up dying after being squeezed out of their last penny.

After Bernie's dan bill is into law, car insurance will be cheaper because all car accident related medical expenses will be payed by taxes through the government, insurers may just focus on replacing broken cars only, no more killing sick people for profit.

Some young students with all the potential and good grades can't afford college, this is how the profiteering system is squeezing the middle class into a growing uneducated poor segment who are not consumers, they don't buy new cars, they don't take vacations, they never go skying, they are not homeowners, never go to Disneyland, maybe you hate them just because they are poor and you assumed that they are lazy, or maybe they should have been given free college like they used to in the 1950s.

One of the elephants is the USA's 23 trillion debt, one day China may perhaps outright buy the World bank, and then they will use it embargo the USA, goodbye freedom using what used to be your own money to destroy everything you used to stand for.

America's ultra rich people hold the nation's wealth, Bernie and Elizabeth both said that they will tax the rich and corporations because that's where the money is, taxing the middle class and poor is a waste of Government resources because they hold so little money.

Remember that Republicans lowered the corporate tax, this was bribed in by corporations, then they keep complaining that they can't pay for anything, duhh!

All Government lawmakers are well aware of all these problems among others, but they keep it that way as long as the bribes keep coming in, it's so ironic that if you even dare suggest a $20 bill in your hand with no words for and extra 2 on a 35 speed limit, a cop in the street will arrest you for trying to bribe an officer of the law and the judge will eat you alive, at the same time it's legal to bribe lawmakers with millions in company stock, making them unwilling to give up their bribes in plain sight.

So Bernie's first law should be to prevent foreign money from influencing state elections by closing a loophole created by the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling that allows corporate spending in elections, ie outlaw bribes that have shaped federal laws for many decades; this will allow legislators to work for the people, not for the highest briber, or highest bidder.

Montana mandates to disclose all election contributors with good results, it may work wonders as a federal law.

Mexico gets very strong earthquakes too, after the 1985 8.1 earthquake, they added proper brick-concrete building code into law that really works for all kinds of construction, this article talks about buildings that did not meet the code, but my points is that here are also real buildings that do meet the seismic building code and are standing strong today; you'll see plenty of brick warehouses in CA that will brush off earthquakes, I'm sure any engineer and architect can learn a thing or two from a third world country https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.citylab.com%2Fenviro...

Why nobody learned this lesson in the USA? beats me!
