Comment Bic for Motherboard standoffs! (Score 1) 919
This doesn't really apply so often anymore, but back in the day you could remove the point and ink tube from a classic Bic pen, and you'd be left with a perfect tool for what I always found to be an annoying task.
The hole in the tip of the pen barrel was the PERFECT size for pushing down on the tip of one of those nylon motherboard standoffs that were so popular in the pre-ATX PC days. No need to fiddle with pliers or find some other way to squeeze the standoff -- just slip on the pen barrel, and it comes right out with no struggle.
Say what you want about how well they actually write; I always made sure to have a few Bic pens on hand for this reason.
