Using a GPU doesn't change the number of bits of useful encryption you have. Whoever wrote this has no understanding of what they're talking about.

This works without quantum computers and you don't even have to actually crack the key to implement it. This suggests that not the key but the implementation is flawed. So we fail fundamental logic tests. So, we are running downhill into the future with no idea what we are doing.

Fluxbox was my go to long ago. Other than that Gnome was where I settled just because distros worked to integrate it more than anything else. Just too snobbish to give other desktops a try.
The fact that there were over 100 patches and 80 of them were for remotely exploitable bugs. The average ratio had been exactly the reverse the entire lifetime of the web for all OS's until now.

For the most shortsighted of reasons, sure. They need a way feed the rich who got them elected as they have no coherent ideas about economic growth or infrastructure. I'm thinking back as far as over 20 years ago when cable was marketed as being the natural successor to telco solutions when they even then were promising 1 Gig downloads and downplaying DSL. "Just run more coaxial". It would have been cheaper to deploy upgraded xDSL in "hindsight". And please note how many of this current administration were either on some board or worked in some capacity at a cable company or internet company 20 to 25 years ago.

Owning nothing is extreme I'd admit. But the current personal goals of just making sure you have more than everyone else is not working, at all. There is only so much an individual 'needs" when the needs of others are considered.
Depending on the instance any post you make gets lots of views on mastodon. Follows and likes are overrated while most have no use for followers other than to stroke their ego.
