This will influence inequality, something state kind of should be controlling. It can also affect value of currency. Also something that should be state controlled. As well as all the virtual coins widely used by all kinds of swindlers. But I guess that is solved by Flock and LG.

Android is on a very slow, but death spiral. Good that there are now alternatives. Not perfect, but good. I have lived with very minimal Android dependencies for almost a year now and only turn it on briefly in a virtual machine on my physical phone. I won't cry when it finally dies just because Google locked out nonapproved developers.

First of all, we have to stop calling everybody and his dog a researcher. If an AI company name is in same sentence before a persons name, that is not a researcher. That is a lobbyist with particular interests. At that point anything he utters is at most slightly interesting. Motives are widely known by now. Secondly, AGI will have a quite practical benefit of getting rid of humans. That has been analysed and synthesised by real researchers. With great book debunking elements etc. But all those 10% chance claims are pulled out of something round with something more round around it.

Entropy of slop law. And we have no Maxwells daemon to sort it out.

Haha, got their own medicine! And now whining. Kids learn this in sandpit with other kids. Sad, that the average IQ represented by these two gentlemen is so underdeveloped there.

So, a 3D model was created. I guess that means a considerably larger but same geometry in space. A physical thing. And then we jump a huge gap with implying that a 3D object that looks like a brain would also act like one? Sounds like a cargo cult with wooden airplanes and mysterious rituals to induce goods dropped on a little island of fools.

A non mathematician was convinced by AI: "This is why it works". Or most likely this is just one of their desperate sales pitches. Getting pretty nonoriginal lately.

Preloading connections? Sounds like networking is just some magic to you. You could as well go to the mechanic and ask for a bucket of compression, your car needs it.

Sadly this is true. No search engine that respects my search terms. They all fuzzymix in some related words, then takes top two most popular and does search on that. Fresh garbage, here you have, still steamy, eat it while you can.

UN is dead. It has made itself a complete laughingstock over the last 5-10 years. You can't decide that now geometry will work differently. To put a sphere, 3D geometry onto a plane, 2D geometry you have to do sacrifices. Either you keep angles or distances. Giving certain benefits for one usecase and drawbacks for other. How it looks is certainly less valuable. We have tried this before with PI being set to a bit more round number 3. That went south.

Haha! You have been sleeping under a rock for the last 10 years. Phone and laptop chargers, cables, shoes, woodworking tools, clothes. All that in almost daily use and not thrown out, not lost colour or parts for 5 years. Try that for locally bought similar but twice as expensive products. 2-3 years and unusable.

You don't have to. There are operating systems and phone manufacturers, that respect that and already give it. No service necessary. Just like there are countries where is no need for a privacy data deleting requestor services or tax report preparation services.

A users own PC, or a bit less phone, holding an image file can be considered untampered and produced by the user. But a text line on a service with who knows how many employees having write access in the whole chain of systems handling the text line? I doubt that can be used as crime evidence.

I guess, he meant that the AI patiently waited for a song to start and finish as it was played on radio instead of processing it as a file or some database entry among others in bulk, thousands per second. Is that so hard to conclude? Or you lack inference capabilities?

Cool security feature. If we humans could have same, the world would be my oyster. Is there anyone in that company who ever heard anything more about security than "capital, number, symbol"?
