The last couple of days have been very nice here indeed. Warm weather (for a change) and a couple of nice nights. We had our first decent thunderstorm in a while here the other day too. The cherry trees around the corner are already covered in blossoms.
Yup. All signs that Winter is at an end and soon it will be Spring!
By October our skies will be full of "V's" of flying geese, and we'll be able to hear their calls when we are outdoors.
They come here in the winter to feast on the goodly supply of marsh grasses, grains, and other choice morsels that the poor Chesapeake still provides them in abundance. May it always continue to do so!
We'll send them on their way in March, fat and strong, to return to the north and raise their babies there.
They've been implementing Carrier Pigeon Internet Protocol in your area and the geese are heading to the 2004 Olympics South(ish) of you in Athens to bring back really slow streaming video:-)
Down here it feels like summer has already started... well spring at least.. It was one of the warmest winters I can remember, I never really needed a jacket at all... and for the last 3 weeks it has felt like spring, which is very strange indeed...
