It never seems to end... The hamper only seems to get fuller and fuller... Where does it all come from?

  • Everybody knows that washing machines are portals between alternate realities living and partially overlapping each other in the 11 dimensional multiverse.


    That's why you can put in a pair of black socks and end up with one black and one white sock. Depending on the sign and magnitude of the laundry-flux between parallel universes you may also end up with more or less laundry than what you started with.

      This explains a lot: the law of conservation of mass isn't being violated by half our socks disappearing into thin air - they're just being swapped. Somehow, something's gone wrong and excess socks are piling up in Tuxette's laundry, which is why I have two pa

      For that reason I only have dark socks. The ways things run here, any stray white sock would be gray. And I have had boxers and even T-shirts come and go like this too, it isn't just socks. Though I suspect the larger the item of clothing, the less likely such trans-dimensional events are.
