Journal tuxette's Journal: well, that was quick and painless 10

I went into work for a few hours and did what I needed to do. It's nice when you get the whole network all to yourself ;-) Everything goes so much faster.

So...what am I going to do for the rest of the day?

  • Feed the Ring, of course. ;-)
  • ...the gym... yes I know you have patellofemoral pain syndrome and don't like elipticals, but you will feel better for doing an hour or so on the machine. Bump up the incline and resistance, even if it isn't running, it is a good workout and it will help build the quads. I was going to suggest Glucosamine, but I see that the site you linked to the other day already recommends it.

You can always do resistance training too. Whatever you do, I've always put getting a bit of exercise at the top of my list
    • It's a public holiday in Norway today. My gym is in a government-owned building and is therefore closed.

My "workout" today will include beer mug curls and perhaps cleaning up the apartment a little...

      • The gym closed just because it's a holiday and not being able to run outside due to injury. That's what I call a double blow. Enjoy your curls.

I could have gone for a bike ride if I really wanted to do a workout and I don't run on asphalt anyway, injured or not. I'm going for a walk in about 15 minutes, followed by some more cleaning...and curls ;-)
  • no religious holiday for me :(
    • You should start your own religion where the religious holidays are not fixed in the calendar.

"I was just about to leave for work when I got this vision from my lord, savior and master of seven holy tentacles. Uhhuh? It was about today being a religious holiday and I am supposed to celebrate it by going fishing. Yeah, I can't believe it either but you don't question what your deity tells you, now do you?"
