  • It's a sitcom- not at all the historical drama one might suspect from the name (I was hoping for Muslims in Walnut Grove, Montanna circa 1876, not Muslims in Mercy, Ontario circa 2006. Fire your conservative Iman just to get one who complains about the lack of a Starbucks in Mercy indeed!)

      Hm. They don't seem to specify which province the fictional town is in, but there aint no prairie in Ontario.
      • Sorry- Alberta then. Someplace that has that type of wide open space with 80 miles to the next town...I've got relatives in Condon, OR; their town could fit the bill for filming in a complete switcheroo from the norm (Hollywood has been filming in Vancouver, BC as of late). Condon is literally in the middle of nowhere- about the only thing that has happened there in the last 50 years is the installation of a wind farm.
