Journal trmj's Journal: I fall to pieces 18

So I'm quite itchy today. All that burnt skin from the random tanning last wekend is peeling off. Pieces of me are falling off everywhere I go.

So, what's bugging you today?

I fall to pieces

  • I made some vegetable sushi last night, and I'm trying to eat a roll for lunch. I know it tastes good, but I just can't get over the fact that I'm eating seaweed. I hate seaweed and all that it stands for. So very tasty, but triggering my gag reflex... :^/
  • Internet forum drama.

And the "falling to pieces" thing made me think of "Leprosy" [lyrical.nl] (sung to the tune of "Yesterday") from the good ol' Dr. Demento days.
    • I kid you not, 10 minutes after that post, and my iPod randomly decides to play "Yesterday". 7-freaking-thousand songs to pick from, and it picks that one. Spooky.
  • now i was running a low grade fever. hmph.

i am so rarely sick... and when i am i turn in a cry baby... waaahhhh

    • The tussin and nyquil. That's all you need. If you're having trouble sleeping, take some tussin, wait 10 minutes, then take the nyquil. Wait another 10 minutes, and you'll be asleep.

I'm sure Solemn is keeping you well souped-up. Get better, and keep the plague to yourself :-P
      • he declined all offers of soup. And nyquil. Of course, if he continues to refuse to take it, i might put it in some ice cream and bring it to him with some of frank's chocolates to hide the aftertaste.

It's oke, blinder, you're not a very fussy baby.

i did get him to accept the cough meds. And zinc, although i made him get actual dose version, not a homeopathic dose.

Dinna is still on, it will be at my place on sunday.

        • Hmm, should I bring Frank when I head over so he's there on time?

So I haven't been able to think of anything I'm longing for that's also Solemn safe. I'm just going to go with whatever it is you recommend again :-)

(other than Frank) What should I bring?
          • trmj, you think of what you're hankering for. i made casserole solemnsafe, i can probably come up with something, as long as it isn't whole-wheat bread, oke?

Sure, bring him along, and as for what to bring with, i would say... NO! You will be fed and like it! MUAAAHAAAAHAAA!

Seriously, if you really feel the need to bring something, we can think about it, but i'm not worried.

            s
        • yep trmj... no nyquil, i'm not allowed... alcohol. we not likes teh alcohol.

yay for franks chocolates! and ice cream??? frank's chocolates with ice cream?????? i think my head would exploded (in joy) over something like that.

*blinder holds bowl and spoon with a "may i please have some?" look*

i should be ship-shape by sunday.

This quote has been bugging me for several days now. On one hand, it's very comforting to know that no matter how bad things may seem right now, they will still eventually turn out right. On the other hand, one can detect a certain fatalism in this sentence -- and this bugs me.
