Journal travist120's Journal: Sidekick 3... still waiting

Ok, I know I am impatient. But this is ridiculous.

I had my phone broken recently, so instead of sticking with Sprint. I got T-Mobile. Looking around on their website, I found the coolest looking phone I could find. And lo' and behold! I found the Sidekick 3. I ordered from their website, and got the "Ship overnight" option.

That was on Thursday.

Tuesday, my phone comes in. I frantically tear open the box and find my sweet phone waiting for me. I plug in the battery and boot up the phone, the menu screen pops up and I try to scroll, but with no avail.

Instead, I get "Waiting for activation"

"Ok" I say to myself. "This shouldn't take too long"

3 hours later...

"This is taking too long!" I unplug the battery from the phone, plug it back in, and it goes through the same sequence of events as I first did it: Boot up, Menu, "Awaiting activation"

At 11:00 at night, I got a phone call from my friend. ON THE SIDEKICK! "Awaiting activation my butt!" I scream. I turned off the phone after I finished my call
-Boot up
-Menu
-Hell

Now I sit here, typing this message out. Still watching the little progress bar move from side to side on my brand new phone.
