Submission + - Flightradar : Claim Of Russian GPS Blocking Of Von Der Leyen's Plane False (x.com)

thesjaakspoiler writes: The EU earlier accused Moscow of “blatant interference” and of subjecting the aircraft to electronic jamming .
However, the flight data collected by Flightradar show no such GPS jamming and reported that the plane showed good GPS signal quality along its entire route until the landing.
The flight arrived only nine minutes later than scheduled, the service said, noting that some media reports like the one in the Financial Times erroneously claimed that “the aircraft was in a holding pattern for 1 hour.”
Maybe it is just a coincidence that EU Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius announced yesterday that the EU will will deploy additional satellites in low Earth orbit to strengthen resilience against GPS interferences.
